Beau's Birthday

On February 13th, 2010 Beau turned two. He loves to watch Madagascar and dance to the Move It song so he had a Madagascar birthday. We had his party at my Aunt Shirley's house. Since Beau is only two we just invited family to his party. We set up a taco bar and played the Madagascar movie during the party.

Beau loved opening his birthday presents. I had told some of my family to get Beau clothes. My great Uncle came in with a large box and Beau knew that something good was in that box. We started opening presents and the first box he opened had clothes. He literally did what you see on tv and made a horrible face and pushed the clothes to me to go on to the next present. He kept hopping down and going to the big box because he wanted to open that one. We made the mistake of letting him open it and it was a four wheeler he can ride inside. Then after each present he kept hopping down to ride the four wheeler. He also did not want his cousins riding on it since he couldn't it. It was rather amusing and the family that bought the clothes were telling Beau that it was my fault he got clothes from them.

New Year's Day

To start our the year 2010 we decided to take a trip to Snow Mountain. Snow Mountain is when they make snow at Stone Mountain. We drove to Georgia on New Year's Eve. One of the first things we did was ride the Sky Lift to the top of Stone Mountain. We got out and walked around on the big rock.



Then we went to our hotel. We stayed in a hotel inside Stone Mountain. We ate at a very nice restaurant inside the hotel. After our food had settled we went to the indoor pool and hot tub. Beau loves to swim. It was a long night after that. Beau wanted his big boy bed. He did not want to sleep in the king size bed with us. He finally went to sleep as the new year was beginning. Happy New Year!!! The next morning we ordered breakfast in bed and got on our snow suits. It was off to Snow Mountain. It was an awesome day!! Beau loved the snow!! We built a snowman and went sledding down a little hill multiple times. He wanted to do it again and again.









Then Chris and I took turns going tubing. Man was my bottom sore after we flew into the air and came down for a landing. It was more like ice instead of snow. It was a great experience for Beau because we don't get much snow in Anniston. After our day in the snow we drove to Eastaboga for dinner. Mawmaw always cooks the special foods for New Years so we will have money and luck. We eat roast, greens, pintos, and much more. We started our New Year off right, as a family. It was so much fun!!
